IMPC 2010 Sustainability Workshop

Where: Meeting Room 1, Brisbane Convention Centre

The Workshop is being organised by the Sustainability Commission established by the International Mineral Processing Council under the Chairmanship of Professor Villas Boas and is being run in association with the Silver Jubilee IMPC 2010 being held in Brisbane on 6-9 September 2010.  While open to all interested participants, the workshop is specifically designed for young professional who have entered or are about to enter the minerals industry, as well as undergraduate and graduate students considering careers in the industry, who want to discuss and analyse the sustainability issues facing the mining industry and the challenges posed by society and the industry in meeting sustainability targets.  Leading experts from industry, education and R&D, as well as members of the International Mineral Processing Council, have been invited to the workshop to share their views on sustainability.  It should be a lively discussion.

The workshop will commence at 9.00am and will conclude by 3.00pm.  Lunch is available at participants’ expense in the Brisbane Convention Centre (BCC).
